Sep 5, 2016- CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli said amendment to the new constitution was possible but calls for those amendments should be justified first.
Returning from Thailand after completion of his treatment, Oli said, “Amendment is possible. It has been amended once. But any further calls for amendment should be justified.” He said those demanding amendment to the constitution were not clear about their demand.
Oli said the incumbent government had also not put forth a clear opinion regarding the amendment. “We will think about amendment only after proposal from the government,” he said.
The former PM also clarified rumours about his visit. “I was solely on a medical trip. I want to clarify rumours about my meeting with foreign agents. They are completely false,” he said.
