Top Democrat Does Something Sickening During The Pledge Of Allegiance

This month, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick turned his back on America when he refused to stand for the national anthem. In the fact of criticism, Kaepernick stood behind his actions, claiming he refused to, “stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”

In the following weeks, Kaepernick’s protest has spread throughout the country. Now, it appears that some politicians are even taking part in it.

Reports indicate that Top Missouri Democrat State Senator Jamilah Nasheed sat during the Pledge of Allegiance on Wednesday to show her solidarity with the football player and his message. She had previously announced her intentions to do so.
In Missouri, each legislative session starts with a prayer and the pledge. Nasheed reportedly stood up for the prayer, and then proceeded to sit for the pledge.

“There is no question of the senator’s right to remain seating during the Pledge, but it’s a question of the propriety of her action,” Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder later commented. “I worry about the example she is setting, particularly for our young people. I believe our best hope for tackling the tough issues of racial unity and economic opportunity is through the shared commitment to the principles and ideals that make America great.”

Nasheed later took to Twitter to explain herself, but ended up sparking even more debate on the issue.
