SC warns of action if Karki's appointment file not submitted
Sep 16, 2016- The Supreme Court has decided to review its earlier ruling on a petition seeking revocation of Lokman Singh Karki's appointment as chief commissioner of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.
A division bench of Justices Gopal Parajuli and Om Prakash Mishra on September 24, 2014 had quashed a petition lodged by Om Prakash Aryal, demanding revocation of Karki’s appointment.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice SushilaKarki and Justices Bishombher Prasad Shrestha and Sapana Pradhan Malla on Friday ordered to review its earlier verdict on the writ.
The Apex court also expressed its serious concern towards the government's inability to turn in the original Cabinet minutes on appointment of Karki.

The Cabinet and Ministry of General Administration had expressed their inability to furnish the origninal cocuments of Karki's appointment citing that they were misplaced while shifting files from earthquake-ravaged building to current offices.
The Court has warned of action as per the Judicial Administration Act if the government failed to come up with the files within seven days.
