According to reports, a group of Muslims have tried to create the first Sharia Law of Islam court within the United States border. The effort is taking place in several states that the group has identified as “key.”
Now, the group is receiving massive pushback from local Americans who are outraged at the prospect.
The group is currently targeting the following states:
1. Texas
2. Oklahoma
3. Virginia
4. Tennessee
5. Louisiana
6. Florida
7. Missouri
8. Nevada
9. Georgia
Currently, Mayor Bath Van Duyne has made an effort to fight the group in Texas. She does not want radical Muslims creating a “Sharia safe haven” in Irving, Texas. Her current court argument if founded on the Texas law that prohibits any foreign law from going into effect within Texas borders.
While that seems like a solid strategy, the group seems to have found a loophole in the law which may allowed them to claim “cultural understanding.” If that is the case, they could be safe from legislative harm.
Although the judge in the case could not be reached for comment, it appears this dispute could end up in the Muslims’ favor.
