Sep 4, 2016- A combined campaign of District Police and Traffic Police here in the district to track drivers with fake driving licence has identified and arrested fake drivers and people involved in making of fake driving documents.
The police started the campaign after increasing cases of accidents primarily attributed to hauling passengers beyond the vehicle's carrying capacity. The operation has shed light into the cause of accidents as driving of the vehicles from incapable drivers who obtained their licence through illegal channels.
Police have arrested two youths involved in making fake driving licence during the operation. They charged Rs5,000-7,000 for making fake driving licence, it is learnt.

Police also arrested people involved in making of such fake driving documents. Binod Khadka and Deepak Poudel--both residents of Pokahra--were arrested during the operation. They had apparently set-up an office and were distributing fake licence, police said. Poudel was also found to be involved in forging government seals.
