Thailand reaffirms cordial relations and cooperation with Nepal



Sep 13, 2016- Thai ambassador to Nepal Vutti Vuttisant has stressed the Thai government's reaffirmation and strongest desire to maintain and strengthen the cordial relations and cooperation existing between the two countries.

Speaking at a event titled “Friends of Thailand” organised in the Capital on Tuesday, Ambassador Vuttisant expressed satisfaction over the persistent close ties between Thailand and Nepal throughout the past 56 years of diplomatic relations. He stated that the two countries were also naturally connected through cultural and religious proximity.

"Since the establishment of Thailand – Nepal diplomatic relations in 1959, the overall relations between our two countries have always been excellent, based on mutual trust, respect, and understanding. We have close cooperation in various fields of common interests and mutual concerns," he said adding,"We have continuously worked together to strengthen our relations. Both countries always support each other in international and regional forums".

He also expressed satisfaction over the close ties and cooperation at the people-to-people level and good friendship from every sector in Nepal. He said," A number of activities and projects have been initiated and driven for mutual interest of our two countries and numbers of projects and programmes activities have been successfully executed.
