Nepal Telecom launches festive discount offers
Sep 30, 2016- State-owned telecom operator Nepal Telecom (NT) has announced a range of discount schemes for its customers on the occasion of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals. The plan will begin on Ghatasthapana which falls on Saturday.
Subscribers will get discounts on data, voice calls, SMS, validity extension of ADSL, WiMAX and FTTH, and free calls on local phone services (PSTN/CDMA C-Phone), the company said in a statement.
Under the data offers which run from October 15-28 and from October 28-November 6, NT will provide 100 MB data package at Rs50 and 250 MB data package at Rs100 respectively.
The validity period of the 100 MB data package is five days while the validity of the 250 MB data package is 10 days. The packages will include free voice calls and SMS facilities.
Likewise, under the night data offer for GSM and CDMA mobile users, NT will provide 500 MB data at Rs40 and 1,200 MB data at Rs85 starting Saturday. The offer will continue for three months.
The night data facility will be offered from 10 pm to 6 am and will be valid for seven and 15 days respectively.
Similarly, GSM and CDMA customers will get a 10 percent discount on every voice call within its own network, which means the call tariff for prepaid mobile users will be Rs1.35 per minute and for postpaid users Rs0.90 per minute.
The scheme will last from from October 8-15 and from October 30-November 6. NT said the charge for SMS services would be half the usual rate. Likewise, for users of PSTN and CDMA C-Phones, NT will provide another 100 calls free on top of the usual 175 free calls for Rs200.
Users of volume-based and unlimited ADSL will get a time extension, the telecom giant said
Likewise, NT will provide a date extension for WiMAX and FTTH users who have unused data volume but their validity has expired. Prepaid subscribers of GSM and CDMA will also get a 10 percent talk time bonus under the MPoS (Pinless) System.
This scheme is valid for recharges of Rs100 or more. NT said that all the offers were exclusive of taxes.
